This signature event honors two outstanding writers—one nationally recognized and one local voice—whose work reflects the depth and impact of the written word. The 2026 Frank Waters Award will be presented to acclaimed author and environmental writer Terry Tempest Williams, known for her powerful explorations of nature, culture, and the American West. The Golden Quill Award will honor Nancy Bentley, a celebrated local author, filmmaker, and educator whose work has enriched the Pikes Peak region and inspired readers of all ages.
